Growth and Laser Performance of Yb:YPO4 Crystal

  • 摘要: 以Pb2P2O7为助熔剂,采用高温溶液法自发成核生长了Yb:YPO4正磷酸盐晶体。对其晶体结构和连续激光测试进行了详细测量和研究。在二极管泵浦下的紧凑平凹谐振器中,Yb:YPO4晶体实现了连续激光效果,在1010 nm左右,输出耦合透射率为5%时,产生的最大连续波输出功率为 0.36 W,泵浦功率为2.19 W,光-光和斜率效率分别为21.5%和21.8%。

     

    Abstract: With Pb2P2O7 as flux, Yb:YPO4 orthophosphate crystals were grown spontaneously by high temperature solution method. The crystal structure and continuous wave (CW) laser test were measured and studied in detail. The CW laser action of the Yb:YPO4 crystal is proven in a compact plano-concave resonator pumped by a diode. At about 1010 nm, when the output coupling transmittance is 5%, the maximum continuous wave output power produced is 0.36 W, the pump power is 2.19 W, and the light-light and slope efficiencies are 21.5% and 21.8%, respectively.
