Abstract:
In recent years, the compact controlled nuclear fusion industry has attracted widespread attention from governments and social capital worldwide, emerging as a key focus of future energy industry. As the crucial components of compact fusion devices, high-temperature superconducting magnets have witnessed rapid technological advancements. The Shanghai Municipal Government has long supported the development of the high-temperature superconducting industry, establishing a comprehensive industrial chain encompassing superconducting materials, magnets, and cooling systems, thereby securing an advantageous position nationwide. This paper reviews the progress in high-temperature superconducting magnets and related technologies, intellectual property, and standardization efforts. It also introduces significant achievements in research and engineering by relevant institutions in Shanghai and finally puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for future development.
