    Abstract: Konjac glucomannan (KGM) is a natural polysaccharide with excellent thickening and moisturizing properties. As a natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable material, KGM meets the demands for green and eco-friendly alternatives. Through chemical modifications such as carboxymethylation, oxidation, and graft copolymerization, the performance of KGM can be significantly enhanced, and its adaptability and functionality in personal care products can be improved. Modified KGM not only effectively enhances the product’s thickening capacity, moisturizing properties, and user experience but also synergistically improves its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and other functional properties. This provides broader innovative applications for the personal care industry and facilitates progress toward more sustainable development.
