Simulation Analysis on Deformation of Diesel Engine Cylinder Liner under Complex Loads

  • Numerical simulation on deformation of diesel engine cylinder liner was carried out by ANSYS under complex loads such as bolt pretention, gas pressure, lateral thrust of piston and temperature field. As a result, temperature load was the leading factor inducing liner deformation, and the influences of bolt pretention and gas pressure were very small so that it could be ignored, however, the lateral thrust of piston may caused liner cylindricity error.
