Research progress on the effect of different light on the growth of Amomum villosum

  • The effects of light environment (light intensity, light quality and photoperiod) on flowering, florescence and fruit drop of Amomum villosum were introduced. When the light intensity reached 400 μmol/(m2·s) , the photosynthetic rate of Amomum villosum tended to be saturated with the increase of light intensity. Compared with other light qualities, blue light promoted the growth of Amomum villosum. Red light or low proportion of red light and far-red light could regulate gibberellin synthesis in plants, which could be a research direction for fruit preservation of Amomum villosum.
