Genetic transformation techniques and their applications in Hemerocallis spp

  • Hemerocallis spp exhibit strong stress tolerance and adaptability to diverse soil and light conditions, making them highly amenable to cultivation. Extensive research has been conducted on their stress resistance, diurnal flowering rhythm, and petal senescence mechanisms, highlighting their potential as a model plant due to these distinctive biological traits. As one of the core technologies in modern biotechnology, genetic transformation holds significant promise for applications in many fields such as agriculture, medicine, and environmental science. In recent years, with the rapid development of emerging technologies such as gene editing technology, genome sequencing, and artificial intelligence, significant progress has been made in genetic transformation research. This review summarizes the current status of Hemerocallis spp germplasm resources, the establishment and optimization of tissue culture systems, as well as the research progress in genetic transformation mechanisms and applications, aiming to provide theoretical insights and practical guidance for future research in Hemerocallis spp related fields.
